Problem: You try to open Firefox and instead get the following error message: "Firefox is already running but is not responding. To open a new window, you must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system" (View Solution)

Solution:

There is no need to restart your system. Follow these steps to stop the Firefox process:

1- Press CTRL-ALT-DEL

2- Click the Processes tab on the Windows Task Manager Screen.

3- Find the “Firefox.exe” entry on the list and click on it.

4- Click the “End Process” button located on the bottom of the screen.

5- Close the Windows Task Manager Screen.

6- You may have more than one instance. If that is the case repeat the process from step 3.

7- Re-launch Firefox
